Alpinestars wanted to design a low cost, high tech Glove geared towards motorsports mechanics, the result is the Alpinestars Engine Gloves. The features are almost endless....starting with the materials used. Stretch mesh and stretch fabric wrap the back of the hand for a precise, comfortable fit as well as cooling capabilities. A knuckle insert is added for impact protection. The synthetic suede palm material is lightly padded but still maintains a tactile, secure grip. Strategic foam padding is placed on the fingers and a thumb reinforcement is added, as that is usually the area where other mechanics glove start to break down. No need to take off the Alpinestars Engine Gloves when using a smart phone or tablet, touchscreen compatible fingertips are built-in!
