This material is relatively inexpensive and gets good numbers when undergoing flame and heat testing. The downside of FRC: it's a heavy material and the protection can start to wear off after years of repeated washings. RaceQuip prides themselves on the "Value" of their products...quality gear and good prices, which made it difficult to produce a race suit constructed from the more expensive Nomex material...until now! Introducing RaceQuip's Chevron-5 Race Suit, made from 2 layers of soft, lightweight, flame retardant Nomex which will always retain it's protective properties when washed.

• The chevron pattern quilt design adds depth and dimension.
• The floating arm gussets eliminate material bind to enable unencumbered movement.
• The knit stretch panels on both sides of the upper body portion of the suit increase flexibility.
• Shoulder epaulets are for style and function in the event of driver extraction.
• Nomex materials exceed the minimum SFI 3.2A/5 rating and the approval tag is sewn to the lower arm area for quick tech inspector approval.
• Nomex wrist and leg cuffs help seal out heat and flame.
• Leg cuffs are hidden underneath the boot cut style pant legs.
• Heavy duty, 2 way zipper allows product longevity and pit or paddock restroom convenience.
