RaceQuip's Chevron-5 Jacket is around 70 bucks more than RaceQuip's 120 Series Jacket, so why consider it? The 120 Series Jacket is made from 3 layers, 2 of those layers being Fire Retardant Cotton, which is a relatively heavy material. The Chevron-5 Jacket is made from 2 layers of Nomex®, which is a lighter weight material. This means the Chevron-5 Jacket is not only lighter overall, but much cooler to wear on hot days. The Chevron-5 also has comfort features such as Side Stretch Panels and Floating Arm Gussets, these are not included on the 120. What the Chevron-5 and the 120 do have in common are the SFI 3.2A/5 rating and RaceQuip's durable quality, which includes a heavy duty brass zipper to prevent the most common failure in race jacket construction.
