RaceQuip's Youth Race Jacket is constructed from Pyrovatex(R), a fire retardant material, which allows it to pass the SFI 3.2A/1 testing specs. These tests determine the overall flame and heat protection of race gear. The minimum TPP rating in order to pass testing is a "6", the RaceQuip Youth Race Jacket exceeds the minimum with a TPP rating of "11". The SFI tag is sewn onto the jacket for quick approval from the tech inspector.

Durability is accomplished by manufacturing with superior techniques and materials, paying the most attention to the seams and the zipper. This racing jacket is assembled with heavy-duty, multi-needle, over-lock safety stitch machines to provide exceptional seam strength. Also featuring a high quality, heavy duty Nomex(R) backed brass zipper.
